Thematic Oral Presentations from Saltegra Engineers at the 85th PIChE National Convention
Saltegra engineers proudly presented three process safety-related topics at the 85th PIChE National Convention:
1) “Case Studies on the Application of HAZOP Methodology for Loss of Primary Containment (LOPC) Scenarios in Tank Farms” by Marian Mendoza, emphasizing the importance of conducting HAZOP as a proactive practice or in compliance with regulatory standards.
2) “Analysis of Major Chemical Safety Incidents in the Global Carbon Capture Industry” by Reyson Dela Cruz, using the bowtie methodology and BowTieXP to analyze chemical safety incidents in the global carbon capture industry.
3) “Comparative Analysis of Philippine Chemical Safety Regulations and the US OSHA PSM and EPA RMP Standards: A Gap Assessment for Enhanced Process Safety Management” by Diana Isis Velasco, comparing US OSHA PSM and EPA RMP standards with Philippine regulations through the Systems Theory of Compliance.
Thank you to all who joined and engaged in the discussions! We’ll share more process safety-related studies in the coming years, and the whitepapers will soon be available on www.saltegra.com. Stay tuned!
