Saltegra, represented by our operations supervisor, Reyson Dela Cruz, and project engineer, Marian Mendoza, was invited by the Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika (SPIK) – the Chemical Industry Association of the Philippines – special thanks to Engr. Gretchen Fontejon- Enarle, CBP, RChE, MSc. – to join the Philippine Chemical Industry Roadmap 2023–2028’s 1st Sub-Working Group on Industry Promotion (SWG 2) Meeting at the Board of Investments (BOI), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Industry and Investment Building, Makati City.

The group also included chemical industry professionals from the Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika, Progressive Association Of The Phil Ink Maker Inc., Philippine Paint and Coatings Association, Inc., and Association of Petrochemical Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc.

The discussion centered on the work plan for strategies 4 and 6, which focus on promoting strategic chemical investments through green lanes and introducing safer materials and processes.

We are honored to play a part in developing this updated roadmap. Enabling Industry Linkages, Sustainability, Safer Materials and Operations, and Productivity highlights the vital role of the chemical industry in the country’s economic development and in shaping a sustainable society.
